Jaimy Romulus was born 2007 in Leiden, Netherlands but moved to England as a toddler. He started guitar at the age of 7 and quickly grasped the instrument well. He started forming his own bands of all genres (metal, indie, funk/soul, pop) from 14, playing gigs frequently in local pubs and expanding out to small venues with frequent appearances at The Horn, St Albans.
He attended Watford Grammar School for Boys where he excelled in the music department, under the guidance of Francis Mullaly, Sanjay Mehta and Kevin Thorold, he performed in the school's Big Band, Modern Jazz Ensemble, Choirs and more, as well as playing in the pit orchestra for the school's musical 'Little Shop of Horrors' in 2025. Despite studying Maths and Physics at A level, it was clear guitar was what he wanted to follow.
Jaimy now studies Jazz Guitar at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with 1-1 tutoring with Tommy Emmerton, Stuart Hall and Colin Oxley he is developing his skills not only in jazz but many genres especially mixing his heavy metal background with jazz fusion heavily influenced by guitarists like Wayne Krantz, Guthrie Govan and Jack Gardiner. He has also gained valuable industry connections such as becoming the house guitarist with Prez and Friends CIC who hold live music events for upcoming Rap/RnB artists from underrepresented backgrounds and more which can be seen in his previous performances. Most notably being his performance with Fugees legend Wyclef Jean at Nottinghill Carnival 2025.
